Anne
and René had eight children,all
born at Côte de Beaupré.
The oldest, René was a servant at the seminary
of Québec and married Marguerite Bouchard who bore
him ten children all born at Petite-Rivière St-François.
Jean settled at Rivière-Ouelle with Madeleine Boucher.
Thirteen children were born from that union, Jean was
also one of the heroes of Rivière-Ouelle who pushed
back general Phipps and his men in 1690. Anne married
Pierre Allard in 1683 but died shortly after giving birth
to her second child. The fourth child of René and
Anne, named Pierre, married twice, first to Constance
Duchesne in 1696 who will give him four children including
one son and, in 1716 to Madeleine Tourneroche who, in
turn, will bear him three daughters. Jacques also will
marry twice, in 1706 to Angélique Garant and in
1719 to Marie Barbeau, who will bear him five and six
children respectively, all baptised at St-François
de la Petite-Rivière or Baie St-Paul. Marie-Madeleine
will bear nine children for Pierre Godard and Brigitte,
wife of Charles Routhier, will give birth to eight . Joseph,
the youngest will marry twice, in 1701, to Françoise
Guimont who will give birth to eight children and in 1726,
to Catherine Allaire.Of the five sons of this ancestor,
only Joseph will remain in the family cradle, on the fertile
lands of Sainte-Anne and of Saint-Joachim. Pierre will
found a branch at Cap Saint-Ignace and Jean, at Rivière-Ouelle
and surrounding parishes; René and Jacques will
settle at Petite-Rivière-St-François and
Baie-Saint-Paul.
