brought here by two settlers;
René De La Voye and Pierre De La Voye.

DEATH OF OUR FOUNDER
JOCELYNE LAVOIE-SAUCIER
The founder of the Lavoie Family Association has died after a long and valiant battle. Jocelyne Lavoie-Saucier has succumbed to her illness and died on the 12th July 2008 surrounded by her loved ones.
She founded the Lavoie Family Association in 1996 in Rimouski which turned out to be the greatest Lavoie reunion ever held.
More than 600 Lavoies and family attended.
The Association and all of its members would like to offer our condolences to the Lavoie-Saucier family.

is situated on the grounds of École Secondaire
Mont Ste-Anne (ancestral lands of René de Lavoye),
10975 Blvd Ste-Anne. Ste-Anne de Beaupré
A 2nd commmorative plaque in honor of René de
Lavoye is found at the little chapel, north of the Chemin Royal, at Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré
